Learn, unlearn, relearn
Learning never ends, actually.
Dear Creative,
How are you doing?
You see, one thing I've discovered, is that as humans, it is very easy for us to think that we have arrived, that we know it all.
But I've realized that in every field you find yourself in, there's always someone who is better/more skillful than you are, or who knows something that you don't.
There's this quote, that says "the biggest room in life is the room for improvement". There's no limit to how much we can learn, and if there's any attitude you should have as a creative, it is teachability. The ability to humble yourself and be willing to learn.
So, personally, I have made a resolve. To learn something new in my field and career as consistently as possible. And I'd love for you to join me on this new journey. If you can do daily, beautiful, if you can commit to weekly, still great - the goal is that you can be able to point out something new that you've learnt daily/weekly.
Now imagine you learn just one new thing weekly, that's 52 new things you've learnt in one year, you will definitely not be where you used to be; that's growth, that's improvement.
Sit down. Expand your capacity. Read books. Watch videos. Take courses/masterclasses. Learn new skills. Learn from mentors/people who already have the results you desire. And watch how you will skyrocket by this act of diligence.
If you want to be successful, build discipline. Learn. Grow. Master your craft. Go the extra mile. Become the best. Stand out. Showcase Christ in your excellence. And watch kings come to the brightness of your rising.
Remember, when you learn, you earn.
Still on learning, here is an opportunity to gain value, whether you're a photographer or not, come and learn principles applicable to any field that you are in.
